This is a warning to all:
Do not use Featureprice, a.k.a. Hosting-Network as your web host provider.
Why?
1 - No knowledgable technical support personnel.
Every support request we requested took more than 24 hours to receive a
generic response of "it's working." Well, how can I put this: "DUH!" 24
hours later, most things are working again!
2 - Complaints
The company has NUMEROUS complaints on file with the Better Business
Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, and the attorney general of
Florida.
3 - Their 99.9% guarantee is FALSE
Firstly - all requests for refunds are ignored, or turned down, citing that
they are within their terms of service (TOS)
Second - others are told that billing is handled in AUSTRIA! and to get a
refund, you would need to go there
Third - people that attempt a refund within the 30-day trial are ignored
until after it's too late - only remorse is to file with a credit card
company.
4 - All websites are throttled down so that they can cram about 150 clients
per computer (OVERLOADED).
All we can recommend is that you STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THEM AS POSSIBLE.
If you want to HEAR how they treat customers, call their 1-800 technical
support number. Listen to the introductory message (don't worry, you'll be
listening to it for a LONG time before it even attempts to transfer you to
support).
Their tech support number: 1-800-214-8829
Just that message should be a sign of how much they truly "care" about
their clients - they don't. The message blames you for causing any
problems!
But again - DO NOT SIGN ON WITH THE HOSTING-NETWORK/FEATUREPRICE COMPANY,
you will REGRET it! ____________________ Jas Batra
