News: Manchester United to Stop Trading
Posted by: MCW Team on Wednesday, June 22, 2005 - 03:04 AM PST
Corporate News London, ENGLAND - The American football's Tampa Bay Buccaneers owner, Malcolm Glazer, will delist Manchester United after 14 years of trading on the stock market...

While still unknown until tomorrow, Glazer is purportedly to delist the team, and claim the remaining shares as he already owns 97.3 percent.

Once Manchester United is completely in the hands of Glazer, it is assumed that his son, Joel, will take over operations and implement changes in order to raise profits.

Glazer has reportedly demanded that United raise ticket prices at the club's Old Trafford stadium by 54 percent to finance his takeover. The average ticket price at Old Trafford would rise from under 30 pounds to 46 pounds over the next five years.
